As an alternative learning institution, BCAS strives to come up with creative teaching methods, relevant content, and engaging activities that encourage our learners to become the best versions of themselves for the betterment of society.

Dr. Elizabeth Soliday-Naui earned her Doctorate Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Information and Communication from University de Nice Sophia Antipolis in Nice, France. She is an Educator, an Academic Manager, and currently serving as the President and Academic Director of the Barcelona Center for Applied Sciences (BCAS). She has years of experience as a teacher and prides herself for being a perpetual student of life. She teaches Communication and Sociology courses. Her pioneering effort in bringing education to the marginalized sectors of the Barcelona community paved the way to the formal creation of BCAS. She was able to develop linkages with different stakeholders to be able to offer courses with ECTS credits to BCAS learners. Definitely the first one to accomplish such a feat in Europe.


Sidney is a creative and passionate professional with more than 15 years of experience in research, strategy, entrepreneurship, development and training for the private sector and not-for-profit organizations. His main skills are related to business design, business strategy, creative thinking, marketing and digital transformation. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), a Master in High Management in Policy and Strategy and a grade on Global Entrepreneurship (MITx).


Paula is an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Language Teacher with excellent communication and IT skills. She possesses effective teaching strategies demonstrated by years of experience training international B.A, M.B.A, PhD students, and business managers of different schools and companies. She earned her M.A in Intercultural Mediation through Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Spain, France and Italy. She’s an expert in Proofreading, Interpreting, and Translation, being a holder of B.A in Translation and Interpreting, and a B.A in European Studies. She has had extensive trainings, volunteering activities, collaboration and partnerships, and travel study across Europe, Canada, Great Britain and Africa and most importantly, an accredited Language professor of the esteemed Instituto Cervantes.

She’s a native speaker of Spanish and with a high degree of fluency in English and French, plus a sufficient knowledge of Italian and Arabic.


Daniel earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at Universitat de Barcelona, a Degree in Law at UNED, a Master in Taxation, and is currently working on his PhD at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya on Business Legal Compliance issues. He is a successful lawyer who has established his own firm, VCCRCONSULTORES, along with other lawyers and partners which offer full legal services for business enterprises.
As a teacher, he has been teaching International Law and Trade for different universities and trade associations mainly in Barcelona and across Europe. He also provides in-company programs for directive and juridical departments of different multinational companies.

In addition, he has also worked for the government as a Tax Officer for Revenue Services, conducting tax audits and inspections to hundreds of companies and entrepreneurs.

While Spanish and Catalan are his native languages, he is also fluent in English and Portuguese.

Mrs. Bouis describes herself as a resourceful, detail oriented, highly organized, and passionate Cultural Diversity educator with more than 20 years of experience in higher and international community organizations.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, minor in Organizational Development, and Master’s in Human Resources Management in the University of the Philippines. In 1996, she gained her Post-Graduate Courses in Higher Education & International Education Policy in the University of Maryland, USA, and then a Management Development Program in Harvard University in 2000.

She’s currently serving as a Consultant on Cultural Diversity and Intergroup Communication for various organizations and academic institutions, utilizing the equity and cultural program she had designed and implemented for more than 10 years as a senior administrator at the University of Maryland. The campus-wide Diversity Initiative that she co-designed, aimed to build a more inclusive and respectful community was nationally recognized by former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s Initiative on Race and Equity.

Her expertise in Intercultural Diversity & Cultural Competence, Global Education, Conflict Management, Cross-cultural Communication, Program Design and Management can help foster intercultural exchange and international solidarity.


Paz H. Diaz, Ph. D. has worked for over 40 years in the field of communication and small business entrepreneurship in the Philippines and abroad. She worked as a consultant with the UN-International Labour Organisation in Africa and Asia, World Vision, Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (German Technical Cooperation Agency GTZ), TECHNONET ASIA, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), Children’s International Summer Villages (CISV), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (ICRC), and the World Bank. She served in various countries, including Bangladesh, Botswana, Fiji, the Gambia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Korea, Lesotho, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

She received training on entrepreneurship in India, the UK, and Switzerland while she trained to be a trainer in Ireland. She co-edited four volumes containing 15 case studies per volume on Information and Communications Technology for Development (ICT4D) published in 2008 and 2009 by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

She was also a Knowledge Management Specialist in the World Bank Project: Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery, City-to-City Sharing Initiative for Developing Countries, in Quito, Kathmandu, and Makati, from 2010 – 2013.

Dr. Diaz is a communications consultant, researcher, case writer, media literacy expert, trainer, and training materials developer. Her research work spans both quantitative and qualitative research studies for organizations, among which are the UNESCO, UNICEF, and the Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation. From 2000 – 2003, she wrote the scripts for video documentaries submitted to the Occupational Safety and Health Center of the Department of Labor and the ILO on the following topics: Child Laborers in Small-Scale Gold Mining Sites, Hidden Child Laborers in Marikina’s Shoe Factories, Steven Johnson’s Syndrome and Other Diseases Acquired by Women in the Workplace, Safety and Health in the Small-Scale Industry Sector, and Saving Children from Exploitation in Biñan.

She participated in the writing and development of a Handbook for the Reintegration of Overseas Filipino Workers (2018); and two publications on teaching entrepreneurship, which include Windows to Entrepreneurship: A Teaching Guide (2014) for trainers or faculty members, and a partner textbook for learners, Entrepreneurship Study and Practice (2016).

Dr. Anouti is an expert in comparative politics, conflict resolution, Middle Eastern politics, and international organizations, minority studies, and authoritarian regimes, religious composition in the Arab region, international affairs, human security and human development.

He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science with excellent mention in Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona in 2018, Master of Arts in International Affairs and Diplomacy, and Bachelor of Politics and International Affairs both in Lebanese American University, Beirut in 2011 and 2007 respectively.

Currently, he’s a Profesor Asociado in UPF. He was also a lecturer of Intercultural Studies, Human Rights, Philosophy and politics-related subjects in Lebanese American University and Haigazian University, Beirut, and in UPF. He has been a researcher, development and humanitarian programs manager, senior programs coordinator for different agencies based in Beirut and Barcelona. His current consultancy experiences include being a project evaluator for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark based in Beirut, and as a political analyst for Babolink Advertising Boutique in Paris and Beirut.

Furthermore he has published different reports for the United Nations, transformed his Ph.D dissertation into a book, wrote journal articles, analysis, and some publications for Arabic newspapers. He has also attended various international conferences, meetings and workshops, and gained certificates and trainings. His mother tongue is Arabic, but he is also fluent in English, French; and has intermediate levels in Spanish and Catalan.


Greg Radzki is actively involved in the academic and corporate environment. He blends communication experience using training and coaching techniques to ensure talented professionals achieve their full potential. He has been working in the world of communication for the past 15 years, creating and designing programs that exceed client expectations.

He is very passionate about human communication. His work in multi-cultural communication brought him to Poland, England, Colombia, and Spain. He is a passionate and dedicated mentor and coach.


Cosme Marin is an Industrial Engineer by profession and a restaurateur at heart. He is currently the CEO of CM Integral Engineering. He has work in several well respected companies in his field like Lymet SA, Sun May SL, Todo Balear Sl and many more.

Currently he is also the owner of the restaurant and tienda called Los Bellotas located in the near the famous landmark Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia.

Cosme is now channeling his inner spirit teacher by being connected with educational institutions and sharing his expertise and experience to different students and lifelong learners.
